The initial inspection and redesign of the mechanical equipment associated with Wellington Street bridge was carried out by M G Bennett and Associates Ltd. Whilst employed by Bennetts, Michael Thorogood was responsible for the inspection of the existing and heavily corroded mechanical system.
An historic grade II listed twin swing bridge in Hull required renovation to allow occasional vehicle access to the other side of the marina. The existing mechanism was inspected and measured up so that a new but visually similar mechanism could be installed as part of the renovation of the bridge structure.
Designs for the mechanical and electrical systems were produced to allow the renovation to be tendered.
