Whilst employed by Mandall Engineering Ltd, David Price was responsible for the project management of the manufacture and installation of a new aesthetically pleasing timber clad steel bridge.
The new bridge replaced the existing dilapidated wooden bridge. At 40m long, the bridge is in two sections and weighs approximately 28 tonnes.
A particular challenge for this project was planning the lift of the bridge utilising a 300 tonne crane in a woodland area with a lift radius of 40m.
