The principal inspection of the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment of Oulton Broad Lifting bridge was carried out by MG Bennett and Associates Ltd. Whilst employed by Bennetts, Michael Thorogood was responsible for the principal inspection of the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
As part of the principal inspection of the Oulton Broad lifting bridge, the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment required inspection. Due to the care and attention that the operators had taken during maintenance activities, the bridge was found to be in a good condition.
The timber pedestrian lifting bridge next to the road bridge was also inspected and also found to be in good condition.
