Burton Waters Footbridges

Location: Burton Waters, Lincoln

As part of the creation of the prestigious Burton Waters Development on the outskirts of Lincoln, two new footbridges were required to complete the development.

The development was centred around a marina that had been created by the excavation of 15 acres of land connected to the Fossdyke Navigation Canal. Whilst working for Mandall Engineering, David Price designed one of these bridges, spanning 46m from the marina to the canal. The second footbridge was 25m long and provides a pedestrian link between two parts of the marina.

David was then responsible for the project management of the manufacture and installation of both these bridges at the development.
